SEMINAR COMPLEX
Welcome to ICSSR North-Western Regional Centre Seminars
The ICSSR North-Western Regional Centre supports theme-oriented seminars, conferences, and workshops at universities and colleges to advance social science research in the North-Western Region. These programs offer a platform for faculty and researchers to exchange ideas, debate policy-relevant issues, and produce impactful academic output. Grants of up to Rs. 1,50,000/- are available annually to foster collaboration and innovation.
ICSSR SEMINAR COMPLEX:
The ICSSR North-Western Regional Centre, located within the Panjab University Campus, Sector 14, Chandigarh, houses a Seminar-cum-Guest House Complex that offers comprehensive facilities for academic events. The complex is available for use by university departments, state government agencies, colleges, research institutions, and NGOs for organizing seminars, conferences, workshops, training programmes, and other scholarly activities.
Seminar Facilities:
The complex includes the following fully equipped seminar halls:
- Seminar Hall – 1:
- Seating Capacity: 105 persons
- Features: Fully air-conditioned, equipped with Interactive Flat Panel Display (IFPD), LCD projector, microphone system, whiteboard (4’x12’), and a dais for dignitaries.
- Seminar Hall – 2:
- Seating Capacity: 40 persons
- Features: Fully air-conditioned, equipped with LED projector and whiteboard (4’x12’).
- Seminar Hall – 3:
- Seating Capacity: 35 persons
- Facilities: Suitable for smaller academic gatherings and discussions.
Guest House Accommodation:
Located on the first floor, the complex offers 14 air-conditioned guest rooms, each with double occupancy and attached bathrooms, to accommodate visiting scholars and faculty engaged in academic activities in Chandigarh.
